Oceanside, NY (MPN) – We are just over ten months into the Second Donald Trump Administration, and in that time, this nation has taken a backward slide so absurd, that no one could have predicted just how much has changed.
In ten months, we have seen a President go full steam ahead with a number of measures intended to transform the 250 year old constitutional republic, into a single party-fascist theocracy, from consolidating executive power by bypassing Congress on a number of issues, including tariffs and withholding aid to Ukraine, to removing so called “DEI” content from educational curriculum, to sending the National Guard into Blue Cities and Blue States, to arresting and charging his political opponents on baseless allegations, deporting millions of legal and illegal immigrants, as well as leaving children on the streets as their parents are taken away from them, and of course, killing civilians on ships in the Atlantic, and openly planning to defy the constitution by running for a third term, of which now, there are almost no machinations in place to stop him from doing so.
Of course, the Republican Party’s transformation into a pale imitation of the National Socialist German Worker’s Party, has also come with a number of small government measures, most notably the Big, Beautiful Bill, which further cut essential services like Medicaid and SNAP, and the infamous DOGE scam, which saw the termination of USAID and the end of the VOA news service, which has since become an extension of OAN, a far-right news outlet.
But, the brazen combination of Conservative Republicanism, and fascist authoritarianism has brought to the surface a shocking reality, and it’s one that we must acknowledge. America, the Confederacy is Back.
Donald Trump’s Administration is A Confederate Presidency
From White Supremacy, to empowering the interests of wealthy businessmen, to pushing for initiatives such as restoring public prayer in schools, Christian Prayer as opposed to Jewish or Muslim Prayer, we are knee-deep in the Second term of the Second President of the Confederate States of America.
The Conservative ideology peddled by Trump goes far beyond the standard credos of “Lower Taxes and Limited Government” preached by men from Ronald Reagan to Newt Gingrich, and delves into a deeper, cultural shift that seeks to divide, exploit, and conquer.
The Right in America seeks to implement a Cultural Reversion, it sees the world of the last 50 years, and rejects it outright. The vision laid out by men like Stephen Miller and JD Vance is a society where Christianity is Mandated, Where White Anglo-Saxon Protestants are at the top of the food chain, and Women and Minorities are reduced to second class citizens (despite Miller being of Jewish descent).
Of course, the Right also seeks to reward the 1%, even though they now hold a combined wealth of $52 Trillion, just as the Confederacy sought to protect wealthy slaveowners.
But instead of plantations and cotton fields, it’s low wage jobs and tax breaks. The Big Beautiful Bill, rammed through a 2.4% tax cut for the top earners, and raised the exemption rate from the estate tax by $5 million.
The Administration is of course not ignoring the past completely, as it pursues the idea of “Freedom Cities”, an ironically named proposal that seeks to build ten “master-planned” cities on Federal land, that would be exempt from most regulations, and run by corporations, which would be able to even prohibit people from voting in state elections.
The New Confederacy is a Pro-Russian Imperialist Project
The New Confederate States, expanded to control all 57 states, territories, and districts, has, in a matter of speaking, already begun to establish itself as a vastly different nation than the United States of America on the world stage.
Under Donald Trump’s Second Administration, the administration has shifted from the upholding the Postwar order in place since 1945, and further revised in 1991, to a desire to return to the turn of the last century, when the great powers of the world divided an entire continent, and the world was becoming a battleground of several powerful nations (we all know how that ended)
The Administration has spoken about annexing Canada and Greenland, and is now planning an invasion of Venezuela, and Columbia, which while not necessarily a prelude to annexation, could be interpreted as such, or could even become the talking point next year.
The New Confederacy is also becoming a supporter of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Seeking to force Ukraine to sign away the Donbas region in exchange for renewed ties between the Americans and the Russians, while forcing Europe to fend for itself should Russia invade them, which according to the ISW, they have begun preparing the groundwork for, in what the institute referred to as “Phase Zero”, and may even be willing to look the other way if China decides to finally dismantle the Republic of China, which currently controls the Island of Taiwan
To Suffer and Die in Greater Dixie
Since returning to office, Donald Trump has not hesitated to take revenge on the blue states. During his return to power, Donald Trump has sent the National Guard into numerous blue cities, including the capital, he’s also managed to threaten to withhold food stamps, and other sources of federal funding from blue states, simply because they don’t align with his political views.
we are heading into uncertain times, but one thing is more clear than anything else, after 150 years the Stars and Bars are getting their revenge, and whatever happens as a result of that, will forever shape the fate of this country for not just years to come, but rather decades or even centuries from now.
