Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine is entering its tenth day, here is what is going on in Ukraine

9:25 PM EST (4:25 AM EET)

  • The International Atomic Energy Agency has reported that no changes in the levels of radiation at the Zaphorizhzia Nuclear Power Plant after a fire was reported, Officials also say that firefighters were working to contain the fire and had arrived to put it out after initially being unable to do so

7:00 PM EST (2:00 AM EET)

  • So far, only one major city has fallen, the City of Kherson in Southern Ukraine, is reportedly under Russian control, but the city is not expected to remain under occupation, as street fighting and civilian resistance continue to hinder Russian Forces.
  • Ukrainian Officials are reporting that there is a fire on Zaphorizhzia Nuclear Power Plant near the town of Enerhodar. Russian forces had been trying to take control of the plant and the city and had met resistance in the form of civilians blocking the streets, but it appears that resistance is fading
  • In Odesa, local residents are preparing for a possible amphibious landing by Russian naval forces tonight, after weeks of speculation and close calls. OSINT observers reported spotting Russian vessels leaving Crimea and headed for the port city, as Russian forces struggle to take control of the towns surrounding it.
  • The City of Maruipol remains under siege and surrounded as Russian forces have cut the city off from the rest of Ukraine. The City has not yet fallen but some fear its only a matter of time before such an attack occurs.
