The Ukrainian Ministry of defense reported an incident in which Russian forces ambushed Ukrainian soldiers, killing them, and confiscating their equipment and uniforms. Shortly after, the MOD released a statement saying they were neutralized
Russian forces were advancing towards Kyiv in the town of Ivankiv, Ukrainian forces blew up a bridge in order to halt their advance

Russian Fighters have reportedly begun a bombing campaign targeting Kyiv and Lyiv, Bombers were seen going airborne from bases in Russia and there is no indication or confirmation at this time, as to what is going on.

- Russian Forces took control of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and the exclusion zone
- Russian Forces attempted to seize control over the Hostomel Airport near Kyiv, but Ukrainian forces successfully repelled their attack and reclaimed control over the area
- President Joe Biden imposed sanctions on some of Russia’s ruling Oligarchs and banks, as well as its military and aerospace industries
- The United States is considering retaliatory Cyber attacks against the Russian Federation
- Russian Forces seized control of Zminey Island off the coast of Odesa, Ukranian Soldiers bravely fought to their last breathe to defend the island, but were overpowered.

The European Union has called on Russia to “immediately cease” their attack in Ukraine.

CNN reporters on the ground are saying that Air Raid sirens are going off in Kyiv.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has given a speech calling for calm, while also declaring Martial Law. Zelensky insists that Ukraine will prevail, ending his speech with “We are Ukraine”
CNN is reporting that the “full package” of sanctions will be implemented in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine

Further confirmation is being awaited on this issue, but there is reportedly a speech airing on Russian Television by Vladimir Putin in which he announced a military operation in Eastern Ukraine. It is unclear whether this is true or not, as some speculate this may be a re run of the speech he gave on Monday. Awaiting confirmation
