In 248 Years of sovereignty, our nation has faced many challenges. It has endured a civil war, a depression, several pandemics, two world wars, a struggle for equality, and a varying degree of political hardships, raging from assassinations to impeachments.
But for all the times our nation has faced the edge, for the times this country was divided, it has always found a way to survive. But now, the United States is about to face its greatest challenge, one that may not only divide the country, but utterly destroy it in its entirety.
Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for President, seeks to return to the position he held for four years. Trump has promised many things, to stop the flow of illegal immigration and to slice inflation, as well as bring ends to the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, he even survived two assassination attempts. But beneath this man’s projections of a competent, law and order candidate, lay an evil creature, one with plans of ambition and power, that lay beyond the scope of any president in our nation’s history.
Donald Trump’s campaign has been built on promises of retribution and revenge. From pardoning January 6th actors to leading the largest deportation program since Operation: Wetback. The Former President, burned by a loss he refuses to acknowledge or accept, intends to seek vengeance upon those he believes to have betrayed him.
By now, the Phrase Project 2025 has been etched into the American psyche. The Heritage Foundation’s Playbook for a Second Trump Administration, it details plans to extend Presidential Powers by replacing government servants with loyalists, Disband agencies, Deport Millions of Legal and Illegal Immigrants Cut back on Climate Change Initiative , Ban Pornography, Overturn the Affordable Care Act, Restrict Access to Medicare and Medicaid, and forcibly impose Christian Values on the American Populace.
But Trump’s vision for America goes deeper than Project 2025. Trump’s alliance with Russian President Vladimir Putin has been well documented for years, as is his admiration for the Russian Federation. Trump will without a doubt use total immunity and his puppet courts to reshape America into a copy of the Russian State. This means officials on both sides of the aisle will be arrested for treason, public criticism of the President will not be deemed “protected speech”, and even posts on social media could land a person in jail.
Trump would then use his newfound control to re-shape the American Political System. Congressmen, Senators, and Governors who do not swear allegiance to the President, will be arrested. This would also mean the depletion of the Democratic Party. the Democratic Party would be much like in Russia where controlled opposition is put in place to maintain the illusion of Democracy, whereas the current guard, with some exceptions, will be spending the rest of their lives in a jail cell, for (and no pun intended) trumped up charges or worse.
America cannot sustain what Donald Trump intends to do. Everything the former President intends to do goes against what this country claims to stand for.
Some may believe that Kamala Harris is not the best choice to be President, and some can argue that she has certainly made questionable decisions over the course of these last few weeks, but, be that as you may, compared to Donald Trump, she is not only the sane choice, but also the right choice.
Donald Trump is a corrupt, incompetent, sociopath who has spent his entire life grifting and conning people into supporting his various failed enterprises. A man obsessed with his ego and validation, Donald Trump once claimed to surround himself with the best people, but during his Presidency, he fired and replaced numerous advisors, cabinet figures, and other high ranking officials. He also chose to align himself with three of the world’s most powerful dictatorial figures, jeopardizing both the security of this country and his allies.
If his shady behavior is not enough, his mental state is also questionable.
After the First Debate, President Biden received calls from numerous democrats to drop out of the race over concerns about his age and cognitive decline. Since then, Donald Trump has made numerous slip-ups, from dancing on stage for 39 minutes, to going on a 12 minute rant about the size of Arnold Palmer’s penis. This man is not fit to be President, and this nation cannot afford to trust him or his allies to run this country.
This November, Voters must do the right thing and reject the Trumpist movement once and for all, and vote blue up and down ballot, no matter how hard some people have to hold their nose to do so.
